More than 145 IPCC authors have now signed a letter with one main message: we will keep working. Last Friday, the 65th IPCC Plenary was suspended without agreement on the timeline for this Seventh Assessment Cycle or on the 2027 budget.

In a study published in March, we found that the speed of global warming has nearly doubled since 2013, using a continuous piecewise-linear function. “Continuous” as otherwise one describes the data by a sequence of trends and abrupt jumps. Our paper: agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....
