As far back as the 1980s, space nerds felt NASA and the shuttle Mafia were a boondoggle, and if we were going to get to space for real, we'd need a billionaire to fund a private effort. Musk wrote the check, and hired the right people.

sucks but prob best to not talk SpaceX. :( NASA was paying Russia $90 million per ride to ISS. SpaceX charges $55-72 million (and is the only USA provider that can take humans). ULA can only fly cargo and charges 3x what SpaceX does (and only SpaceX capable to fly national security missions)

Race was never an issue in this case, but of course the race hustlers can’t help themselves. Daniel Penny is a hero. He saved several people of color on the subway that day from a violent lunatic. Shame on those who made it about race.

Do we also have to imagine that the white guy:was arrested 44 times including: 2015-Kidnapped a 7yr old girl. 2019-Punched 64yr old man in the face. 2021-Punched a 67yr old woman in the face, Broke her nose and fractured her orbital bone.
