… the point I was making is that for quite a long time now it’s way *easier* for US companies to become world leaders and that’s evident by the number of companies dominated by US companies and that’s in part because of the wealth and size of their market. I don’t think this is a crazy argument.

Having a large market for companies is the only way to create world class companies and not be subject to China or the US. A lot of other things end up being secondary to that core thing - small countries = small companies = small influence and American dominance.
