my mom is 68YO and still working bc she can’t retire; social security is not enough to live on + cover her mortgage + pay for health insurance. so that “value” you mention does her not a wink of good. its nit enough to pay off teh hosue and extract enough to buy soemwhere else to live

bc at the end of their lives boomers like my great aunt are living in $2500/m + the cost of medicare & they are terrified their money runs out, that their houses are their only savings and is the only yhey have they can sell to pay for their nursing homes. do you know what nursing homes cost?
