tree is fine for the browsing UI, people expect to drill down. what i'd avoid is making the tree the storage. keep the assignment as a set of labels pointing at nodes, so a company can sit under two branches without you touching the taxonomy.

Haven’t been watching but I hope people understand that Rand Paul hates Fauci mostly because Fauci repeatedly embarrassed him so Paul is trying to return the favor.
