I'm not going to be drawn into an argument. I'm a prison abolitionist in all except the most extreme cases. People can and do change - but it doesn't change what he did being heinous. He should've known this would catch up with him. He will lose his career and be thoroughly ostracized for this.

I feel so bad for the victim here. The "without her permission/knowledge of her wishes" line implies that she wanted this to stay out of the public eye, which it now is, and that will surely lead to internet crazies digging, potentially identifying, and harassing her, even if it's w/ best intentions
