I was Methodist raised (without the THEN homophobia). I was with a friend (asked to leave his SBC) who asked me to join him in a large member church. It was then Cathedral of Hope-MCC. While no issue with UMC, as a gay man I found my church him with Rev Michael Piazza (now in UCC in JaxFL)

Show PostRaised Methodist, I never perceived my "gayness" was a sin. It was never preached in my Methodist churches growing up. Joining CoH-MCC the first lesson was to know the truth about the clobber passages. I knew, when I learned about the Roman Centurion. That is my ANTI-CLOBBER passage.
