The Mail has ironically parroted like, the ur-textual version of "men will literally do anything besides go to therapy", framed as a national security threat "Ne’er pull your hat upon your brows. Give sorrow words. The grief that does not speak Whispers the o’erfraught heart and bids it break."

That is, the exact scene The Mail misquotes here is *extremely about* how "a man" should best process his feelings of grief and grievance, and must do so, to ensure a better, more open-hearted country. MALCOLM: "Dispute it like a man.” MACDUFF: "I shall do so, But I must also feel it as a man.”

Then comes this: "Alas, poor country! Almost afraid to know itself. It cannot Be called our mother, but our grave, where nothing, But who knows nothing, is once seen to smile; Where sighs and groans and shrieks that rend the air Are made, not marked; where violent sorrow seems A modern ecstasy."

The Mail misquotes Macbeth here - a scene where Macduff, here the avatar of moral good & righteousness, explicitly shows it by welcoming a stranger as kin: MACDUFF: See, who comes here? MALCOLM: My countryman, but yet I know him not. MACDUFF: My ever-gentle cousin, welcome hither.
