When I try to talk about Epilepsy Accessibility in videogames, I've started to talk less about "how many more people can play your game" and more about how "this game can cause fatal harm to people if certain options aren't implemented, or even considered."

He would tell us "You guys aren't female hockey players, you're hockey players. Don't let anyone tell you you're good for a girl, you're just good, period." And I wish more people looked at it this way. I don't want to be good at Splatoon for a girl. I want to just be good, same as everyone else.
Show PostAdding onto this its reminds me of something my hockey coach used to say. He was studying "Can girls be coached the same way as the boys" after seeing the way his daughter was being coached, that is less effectively than the boys. (Yes, this was real in 2014 lol)
Show PostIt gets frustrating to deal with and I’m considering quitting comp because of it. It’s just another thing to add on top the general rudeness in the scene as you climb up in skill and lowkey I don’t wanna deal with it anymore.
Show PostThe list of what I’ve had to deal with in this community is LONG and that’s just the comp side of things, we can talk more about my experience at LANs, YouTube, etc and there’s is still more. Majority of the time in this community i fell as though I’m treated more like an object than a person.
