100% Having been precariously employed by a uni I can confirm that it is AWFUL. There is no security of tenure, no career progression, and no chance to ever really make plans for a future.

I’m going on strike this afternoon with my Tertiary Education Union comrades. Tertiary and vocational education is vital to this country. A well-funded sector is an investment in our future. And we need secure, decently-paid work.
