THIS IS 40! I can’t believe I get to be 40 years old. How amazing is it to be here?! I am so, so grateful. I survived a brain tumor at 36 & my entire perspective changed. Sometimes I feel like a walking cliche. But mostly it makes me feel … lucky? blessed?… really: filled with light on the inside.

But also: I just cannot wait until my children grow enough so I can share my love of seeing the world with them. I can’t wait. And I’ll never take for granted being able to be there to see their eyes get wide with wonder.

I think the next thing on my bucket list is watching them gasp when they meet Mickey Mouse, or see a rainbow over the ocean. Anyway. Happy birthday to me. I hope you stop dreading getting older and instead feel how lucky, how lucky are we to pass time together on this Earth.
