characters who are literally dolls also of course because by nature of being characters with interiority there is a similar friction but "human characters that are statedly seen/treated as dolls or are designed as to make the audience recognize they are seen/treated as dolls" is the big thing

basically if a character is diegetically or nondiegetically compared/equated to a doll or designed to resemble a doll they're going to be an all-timer for me
