I would say the only way he isn’t the next president of Korea now is if Yoon’s impeachment is overturned by the Constitutional Court. But no matter how much you may dislike Lee, Yoon coming back into power would seem to be a much worse outcome in my opinion.

We can also look at what happened in South Korea just last year. Yoon declared martial law in order to attempt a coup. It was quickly found to be unwarranted, reversed, and Yoon was removed from power. However, the country remains politically divided. carnegieendowment.org/research/202...
