In #fabtcg 3.0, I would love to see more alt arts featuring the heroes in the set. Give me rare alt arts of Leave No Witnesses with Huxley, Azalea, and Mortimer featured in the card art.

Yep, I'm with you and I'm a casual collector/hoarder first before anything haha. I'll have to think this one over more before forming a final opinion, but I agree that introducing more artificial scarcity is a slippery slope and doesn't help with making the game more accessible.
