Simultaneously huge in its biographical breadth and intimate in its scale, Patrick Wang’s film A. Rimbaud is a portrait of the 19th-century poet Arthur Rimbaud, a grand, 175-minute biopic that eschews the genre’s convention with the adventurous spirit Rimbaud applied to the written word.

Patrick Wang introducing A. Rimbaud and conversing with Cole Wilder at @nwfilmforum.bsky.social. Aussie Blake Draper, in a solo performance, plays the French poet from 17 to 37. A biodoc like no other. Upcoming screenings! Vancouver - Oct 25, Nov 1 NYC - Nov 8 LA - Nov 6–12 Toronto - Nov 22–Dec 6
Show PostA very good review from Keith Uhlich of Patrick Wang's one-man biopic A. Rimbaud, which plays @nwfilmforum.bsky.social with Wang in attendance, for one night only, Oct 20. According to Uhlich, Wang is self-distributing. NWFF also screened his last film, the excellent 2018 two-parter A Bread Factory.
