To go off on another overly long tangent on the topic of delayed gratification WRT making comics specifically - I promise you, a lot of the necessary groundwork you currently view as "chores" and try to rush through will become your favourite part of comicking once you start taking your time with it

I feel like "delayed gratification" is not a skill brought up enough in the context of getting better at writing/storytelling. Especially for creators who are trying to develop their OCs into an actual tangible project
