Now I think this is partly on the organiser as they note that they don't want to enforce rules on AI usage (decomp.dev) but that's their choice. Overall though the story here for me isn't that AI can decomp things good, it's that AI users holidaying in a new community are terrible guests.

I hate seeing this happen. It’s so easy for a slopmeister to dip in for some quick clout and take the wind out of someone’s sails that has been passionately chipping away at a project for a considerable time. I hope that this community doesn’t give up on something they enjoy as a result.
