While I'm sure it didn't help, I think that in this case, there's a simpler explanation: BioWare hadn't released any financially successful games in over a decade. Mass Effect: Andromeda underperformed, Anthem bombed spectacularly, and Veilguard was a flop.

And there it is. Unicronic Arts finally fucking did it. Simply vile. The damage EA (and every company like it) has done to both videogames and the artists who make them can never be overstated. They sabotaged this fucking industry and they deserve to burn.
