We need to add a new category of mental disorder to the DSM-5. History has seen megalomaniacs who aspire to rule the globe, but this is probably quadrillions of times more mega than that. How do brains get this cooked?

This is a concern that I’ve spoken about several times as well, and Twitter randos always told me I was “overreacting” or “fear-mongering” I said this at the time, but it’s nice to have official confirmation. And I very much worry about US leadership in that scenario today.
