Americans who normally have this take are either a) boomers with legacy union insurance who do not pay premiums or b) people who do not interact with the healthcare system with any kind of friction because they are rich and don't care

There are a few things America does better at qualitatively (frequent cancer testing for those with insurance is one of them, ironically because it's cheaper for insurance) but they are very few and imo unless you're well off a system you never have to worry about is superior.
