This year, I'm making my students write weekly entries on the required viewing in a "media logbook," which they photograph and upload at the end of each week. Reading their first entries, on watching THE WIZARD OF OZ and the pilot episode of #TheGoodPlace, I am already so thrilled with the results!
Show PostMy idea behind it is to shift their writing from being output-focused (in the form of academic essays) to being more explorative and reflective. Plus the fact that they have to be hand-written makes the process more personal and creative.

I've been meaning to get @shawnlevy.com's Eastwood book for a while and where better to get it than York's lovely Topping's bookshop.
