@aaronquinn716.bsky.social asked me about this. Do good defenses struggle against good offenses as much as bad defenses do? Yes. Looking at Top 10 defenses by DVOA, they allow 46% suc rate and 5.81 yd/play vs. top 10 offenses. They allow 39% suc rate and 4.94 yd/play vs. other offenses.
