100% agree. Even if the work disagrees with my current model/conclusion- it gets cited - it’s important to represent the field. I’m always thankful if i accidentally missed something & a reviewer picks it up. Failing to cute competing work just effects poorly on the authors really 🤷♀️

Avoid citing the work of others is an awfully dishonest action of some researchers... However, I give a lot of the responsibility to the reviewers *AND* the editor... c'mon guys it's no so hard.
