The irony of it all is that, while I struggled in the dark for so long with so little, it was the synchronous moments that carried me forward, brought me to lost truths and hidden secrets, and also helped me understand that as bad as things are, it can all change with a choice. ^^

Your first reply vanished for me, but I saw and can empathize with your situation. For me, I was a foster kid early on who eventually was returned to their family, but was always a peperpetual transfer student. A nomad with no home and no real connections to speak of. Can't say it's really changed.
