What I do tell anyone moving here is you need to live within walking distance of a good tube line. You have a decent tube line you are less than an hour from everywhere in London. London is a non-euclidean city. Distance is largely unrelated to travel time.

My basic view is that, if you want to live in London, you either live within Zone 2 or you leave entirely Anything further out and you're living in some weird half-life London, no soul, a shadow of the real thing. More time on trains than living At that point you should accept your fate and leave
