We do not eat a credit card’s worth of plastic a week. This doesn’t pass even the most basic sniff test but also the paper everyone is quoting doesn’t even say that we ingest that much plastic and I’m sick of hearing it in credible places!!!
Show PostThe most basic reality of science (and SciComm) is that every stat has both a value and a level of precision. The 5g stat is actually the upper end of an extremely wide range that shows the average person consuming between 0.1 to 5 grams.
