If there is to be a change of policy on winter fuel payments, it cannot simply be a reversion to the previous iniquitous position. It was and would remain unjust for rich pensioners to be handed hundreds of pounds of taxpayers' money each year. Raise the threshold. Help those who need it.

Big new commitments on Grangemouth, an absolutely deserved hammering for the SNP, and sobering and critical clarity on foreign policy which remind us how important it is today to have a credible, serious Labour Prime Minister.
