Final score at RC Baltimore! 8-6! 6-3 day 1, 2-3 day 2! Placed 268/1486! Super happy that I managed to make day 2. Would have loved to crack top 128, but my luck of running into 4 Esper players in a row finally ran out. I hope to someday make it back to an RC, and hopefully it’ll be with Tron!

Also, as someone who looks forward to playing RCQs to play standard competitively, the RCQ promos really should be cards to motivate folks to get out to the LGS to play as well. Even though both of these are good cards, they weren’t widely played pre-The Hobbit either, so why are these here?

If we want players to get to the LGS to play standard — which is what I want to see an increase in personally for many reasons — having an unplayable Jace card as your “winner’s card” isn’t it. Thematically it’s on point for the set. But it’s not going to motivate players for the store champs.
