I sat in an armchair in the chancel of our early 19C chapel scaled for 19thC male hips,not 21stC post-menopausal hips in full Anglican choir dress. As I stood for canticle I feared chair would be affixed to my posterior like a hermit crab’s shell. It wasn’t, but I’ll have odd bruises. ⚓️
