The MAC Ecohydrology Lab is hosting an international peat fire workshop this week at NOBEL @nobel-water.bsky.social. Ironically, several of Belgium's peat fire experts will be attending while Belgium experiences its largest wildfire on record (in the High Fens peatland). @jmortelmans.bsky.social

Earlier this week I gave a seminar on #peatland #wildfire and led a workshop on peatland #ecohydrology at the SLU Dept. of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment in Uppsala. Six! #NobelPeatPrize laureates (incl the legendary Håkan Rydin) attended. We had great peaty discussions and I learned so much.
