"Wait a minute... there was no War in the War Between the Land and the Sea?"

It felt like there was an episode missing. What happened to the Rust? What happened after UNIT opened fire on the British army? Are we ever going to deal with semi-fascist Kate? But oddly, I still enjoyed it and cried a bunch. I am not immune to the power of shirtless Russel Tovey and Goldfrapp.

I thought the ending mostly worked. It had a very odd narrative structure for an ending. For something with the word ‘war’ in the title, the ending felt very muted but I’m not sure if that’s a bad thing. The humans killing 90% of the homoaqua was very shocking and it felt a very sad ending.
