So, I'm not mourning a company, or even the games themselves. My grief today is about knowing that while I've been staring uncertainly into the murk of the future, waiting for someone to hand me a torch, those people are standing beside me. Peering into the darkness, too. #bioware

What I'm saying is, having learned that darkness is one of life's evergreen features, and feeling as if my survival of its increasing frequency can be measured in slivers of fingernails, I am worried that one day soon I'll reach for my torch, my bright game, and find...nothing. #bioware

I hate the stupid, awful symmetry of it. People abandoned and plunged into fear beneath the banner of the thing that saved me from my own drowning days. When I talk about the loss of 'BioWare games,' what I'm doing isn't mourning, precisely. It's a little worse. #bioware

I'm going to back away from this 'It's been dead for a while, anyway' idea. 400+ people still worked there, and now they don't. That's terrifying. To have your stability stripped from you is a dark, cold, frightening experience. I hope each one of them finds some kind of life raft. #bioware
