The insane push of black disposable girlfriend trope did an extreme damage to mel's character perception as you'll talk to people that don't know anything about her mother, her book, her comic and leblanc and still refers to her as "jayce's girl" not even getting her age right. Shes 33

sad because this discourse backfired so hard that now this character is known for being pretty and for having a two weeks(maybe 3? 4?) connection with a 14 years old character, people genuinely have no further interest or connection to her. Leblanc? Idk her. Her family? i guess. Noxus? Who cares

The trope isnt even applicable to her as the bdg either have to die or totally be erased from the story once the True Girlfriend arrives. It totally didnt happen, if any, the opposite as she becomes one of the narrative cornerstone of league universe

Characters that wouldnt be shown again in the narrative for a long time are the entire arcane cast! Arcane basically worked as her origin story and people still push a false claim because few people cared about her beyond her relationship with jayce
