Lee Evans is alright btw if you like that sort of thing (I've heard he was very very nice and retiring at 50 to hang out with your family is based) but I don't and I managed to keep that to myself.

Before I left, Theresa May called THAT election. There was a TV in reception with the news on all day and I went "June 8th!" and she had no idea what I was on about and when I said "General Election. June 8th" she went "oh🙂" which is my reaction to someone going "new series of Love Island!"

Next year it'll be 10 years since I left my office job. A number of things led to this decision but one of the final pushes was the receptionist asking me who my fave comedian is and after she'd cackled over my choices (she'd never heard of them) she told me her fave was Lee Evans.
