Good news! The last time #Montreal opened a métro station was in 2007, with the Orange Line extension into Laval. This month, tunnel boring for the Blue Line extension into the east end of Montreal finally began. The 6-km extension to Anjou will include 5 new stations, 2 bus terminals.

Montreal has done incredible work iterating and expanding pedestrianization programs that were born out of the pandemic, now making them permanent. Sadly, NYC has done the opposite — our pedestrianization programs are a glimmer of what they were in 2021. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Montreal was great for my "fluent in high school 25 years ago" French. I'd start in French until I got stumped and had to substitute English and whoever I was talking with would do the same, with the languages inverted and we understood each other perfectly
