Hi JR! Do you think people and governments take the AI risk less seriously than nukes for example because of ignorance of the risks or is it more an arms race and so they want to be the risk rather than suffer the risks others find/wield first?

Are we failing to make a distinction between new and old knowledge in these discussions? Engineers learn software this way kinda because we kind of don't know how to build software. There are principles, but they change. Once we know how to do something, we teach it explicitly and give you tools.
