i started as someone who honestly in retrospect seemed pretty likely to be a zine scammer (i was a mentally ill 22 year old selling fandom zines online with no experience in anything related). luckily zines are a field that you don't need any special skills for. the trick is to aim very low!

it's almost five years since i wrote my first zine. over a thousand zines sold later... i have found my practice to be so transformative. i made this post not to bash fandom anthologies (i've been running yaoi zine for years longposter.neocities.org/yaoi) but to hopefully make them more accessible
