An excellent mid-morning arrival with well over a thousand Chaffinches, also a Woodlark, 80 Skylark, 82 Redwing, two Mistle Thrush, 220 Starling, 58 Brambling, 43 Siskin, two Mealy Redpoll (briefly in the Moat) and 45 Reed Bunting. Also over 500 Stock Dove attempted to go out to sea. #kentbirding

Highlights seawatching off Herne Bay Downs this morning included 2 Great White Egret WNW, a patch tick Merlin west at sea, 666 Brent Geese, 110 Lapwing, 3 Arctic Skua, 60 Little Gull, 111 Kittiwake, 1 Razorbill and 1 Red breasted Merganser. @kentishplover.bsky.social #kentbirding

Enjoyed some good thrush and finch movement on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Mostly Redwings and Chaffinches but a handful of Fieldfares, Bramblings, Song Thrushes and Blackbirds. About 5 Bramblings landed in a tree on the hoverport. #kentbirding
