Yet another great game for Pau Torres. Such a tremendous ball-playing centre back. Think he’s player of the season for Villa so far (Cash top, too). Ever since he came on against Fulham, Villa have been totally transformed & gone on a winning run. He’s so important. #avfc 🟣🔵

Is Unai Emery the best manager pound for pound in the league? Since he joined, villa's net spend is zero compared to say half a £billion for chelsea. Over his 3 years villa have been the fourth best side points wise, by some distance. They have more home wins than any side in Europe in that period.

What’s special about Cash is he can vary his game based on what Unai wants. Very, very underrated and very flexible.

This period up to Xmas 2023 is the best spell of form (esp at home) I've ever seen from villa and I've been a fan since 1990. It was like a dream.

#avfc that was magic!! Classic Emery away performance. Controlled, composed and didn’t give up the ball too much. Limited them to very little, made some good substitutions and scored a couple of worldies.
