I do not mean to single out LeBron James, but it feels completely bizarre to me that an active player is allowed to promote "prediction markets" but would get banned for life for using that service to bet ten dollars on their own team to win a game.

also extremely weird that one would do this as an active player…when numerous pro athletes have reported getting threats from people who lost money on betting on them
