So ditching everything *again* and moving to yet another platform that may or may not stick, with no way to come back - is a big ask. If there was a proper, working, populated alternative (that I can also use, with apps and all, without personal risks) - sure. But not now and not like this.

Everything (meta, x, discord, even bsky since more recently) has been outlawed/made illegal here and is not accessible without a vpn Signal doesn't work Telegram is on its way out Whatsapp is out I *already* am out of options. Yeah shit sucks but so does living like this.

folks I won't lie I'd be more than happy to simply move off of discord but my current reality is I already cannot use most platforms without a vpn and risks since 90% of them are banned/illegal here losing the one channel I have of at least somewhat connecting with people I love is too much. sorry
