Loving female characters doesn't mean putting them on a pedestal. For example, I love Aerith "Aeris" Gainsborough but I recognize her flaws (she has none), acknowledge when she has made mistakes (she has never made any), and am upfront about her personal failings (she is perfect in every way.)
