In a similar vein, in the latest Resident Evil movie the guy stands and looks at a big, pulsating egg-sack as it gets bigger and bigger. He watches it for around 30secs. Why? In the midst of all this blood, guts and carnage, does he think some cash or chocolate might come out when it finally pops?

I've tried both those things. It's a small industry here. 1000s of people trying to be one of the two or three movies that get made every year. And since it's public money, they don't choose scripts based on which is best or which will make the most profit, but on doling the money out 'equally'.

I didn't know anyone with access. I live in Northern Ireland where we have 1 native literary agency (who don't specialise in what I do). I have won and been shortlisted for various film fests and writing competitions. I mention this every time I approach rep and they still ignore me.🤷

If it's on fire, it's way, Way, WAY in the distance from me. I can't even see the smoke. 🤓 The problem is still getting a script to anyone who can get it into the right hands. I've been ignored-before-reading so much, I've begun to dream about being read and THEN ignored. Just imagine!!! 🤩🤣
