Also btw I know people don’t like me because I am very open and annoying and my posts can read more arrogant in text then I think I intend them too. I accept that, it’s valid. It’s just that-again. Being this way doesn’t somehow condone harassment. That’s my whole point.

I think being a critical person it’s harder to get really bad faith and absolutist criticism because I want to counter it critically. Which is how I know all these people would probably spontaneously combust if they got a fraction of what I get on the daily lol. Can dish but can’t take -ever.

Media analysis and well intentioned and constructive criticism video essays for film/narrative are content I sometimes consume. As a critical person I think it’s important. People really hate me because I refuse to accept the bad faith bs people consider valid criticism now. lol

I grew up seeing Rebecca attacked personally for the art they made. And they were by all means “professional”, it didn’t stop the harassment. It’s gross how long this has been happening. Rebecca is so truly strong and I admire them. It’s weird to have seen it and now be living it.

Rebecca is truly one of the greats!! This current crop of creators are so wild and free to tell their stories, but one generation ago, Rebecca did so much to break down creative walls and push envelopes. It’s completely absurd to grow up seeing the mistreatment and then falling prey to it yourself 😢
