Courtney read at least one. I don't quite remember her opinion on it, but I think that was her opinion too. It was like 15 years ago now, and I'd kinda forgotten until you just reminded me, lol
Show PostI think The Shining is a commonly cited example, although they are so different I don't know that it counts, lol. I've also heard The Godfather, but I've not read the book. The list is *really* short, lol
Show PostI view the movies as a sort of dumbed down version that Merry's great grand nephew tells to get laid. They've got the general skeleton, but they really sorta miss the point.
Show PostThe movies are fine, but, as in nearly all cases, the books are better. The only example I know in which the show has an argument to bring better is The Expanse, and it's still open to debate (it was actually adapted by the writers, so it's sorta special in that regard).
Show Post"How do you get eyes on your games? 👀" The most requested topic I got, by far. Third video in my series on how I make a living with TTRPGs. This one, an hour-long dive into all the methods I know of, with lessons learned, and a bunch of tips. I think you'll like it ☺️
