Now I just scan each page I highlighted, upload the photos to the laptop, screenshot and ask it to copy the text. What once took 2-3 days now takes 3-4 hours.

As part of my effort to be honest about the advantages of AI when I find them: It used to take ages to type out my notes for Origin Story episode. Going through every highlight I made in a physical book and noting down information - names, dates, arguments, key ideas etc.

It still takes 2-3 days after that to turn the research notes into a script, but the process of assembling the research notes has been drastically shortened. Given that this is by far my least favourite aspect of research, I am very grateful for it.
