Another huge mistake: assuming the Nanna-Sin, Utu-Shamash and Ishtar-Inanna syncretisms only happened with Akkad, this goes back so long it's near impossible to say they were separate gods by the time we got written sources lol

Found a video on Bilibili going over Mesopotamia & adjacent gods, actually one of the better videos on this I've seen (although some parts still feel kinda iffy) but they really said Dagan was the tutelary god of Mari lmao, Itur-Mer erasure
