No sign of the adult female Osprey this morning on the Axe, but we did get an amber-eyed juvenile attempt to fish several times. It did catch one, but lost it immediately. Flew off to rest on the Axmouth side of the valley, chased by corvids. Hopefully it will be back. #Devonbirds

Despite the return of beautifully benign conditions today's been underwhelming on the migrant front. A Nightingale for @slashercutts.bsky.social at Culverwell was only the second at the Bill this year but it's been pretty dreadful for other grounded arrivals; fair gathering of Sand Martin overhead.
