The security of UBI would tempt more disabled people to join the workforce, too. Not all of them can manage it, of course, but the threat of benefits being taken away without any safety net if things go wrong disincentivises many from trying.

Totally normal reaction to me dispassionately pointing out reality. People wrongly assume I’m defending Labour. I’m no longer a member due to the Blue Labour bullshit and punitive policy. I get people want change, this just won’t be how you get it. But I’d choose any party over literal fascists.
