Over 20 million people were added to insurance rolls, peaking at 24 million, after the ACA passed. The system didn't implode. If you look at the closing of medical facilities in rural (and other) areas, you'll see that the big issue is funding.

It has NOTHING to do with triaging in order to receive healthcare, though we have that in effect when an insurance company rejects a claim and you have to spend weeks fighting it. Don't fall for the straw man bullshit that the only alternative is Canada's system, or a cartoonish rep. of it.

You are very confused about universal healthcare. It doesn't mean socialized hospital/clinics/physicians. It can even be done without a single-payer insurance system, though that makes things complicated and requires strong regulation and subsidies by the government.
